AE1601 ETEKT+ Low-E Detector

The ETEKT + is the Industry Standard and has played an essential role for glaziers worldwide for over 30 years. With the release of the AE1601 (third generation ETEKT+), we've improved the reliability and temperature stability of the meter without compromising the features our customers have grown to love. Locate invisible Low-E coatings on IG units with a definitive, non-destructive test.

CM2030 “THE EDGE” Low-E Coating Detector

"The EDGE" Low-E Coating Detector is an inexpensive option for glass and window manufacturers who must determine if there is a Low-E coating on the top surface of the glass.  This rugged little instrument is the perfect product for testing your single panes of Low-E in production.  The design allows for testing Low-E coatings in the Center of the glass as well as Edge deletion on the perimeter of the coated glass.  Features include an edge/stop on the bottom of the enclosure for convenient edge deletion testing.

DS1670 Dual Coating Detector

This NEW dual-purpose detector combines two instruments into one. Use the same device to identify the coated surface of the glass for either the ShowerGuard or DiamondGuard coatings available from Guardian Industries. Because the specialty coatings are not visible, it is impossible for manufacturers to accurately identify which surface of the glass has the coating without a ShowerGuard or DiamondGuard Detector. With the simple push of a button, processors can confirm they are orienting their glass correctly during their builds.

GC3001 Glass-Chek PRO

With one button push, the Glass-Chek PRO tells you the exact replacement IG unit to order! The Glass-Chek PRO is perfectly suited for glass replacement, but it's also perfect for many other applications. Whether installing or servicing in the field, spot-checking in production, or inspecting a building, the Glass-Chek PRO gives you the answers you need—no guesswork - just simple results.

GC3200 Glass-Chek ELITE

The Glass-Chek ELITE is a versatile glass thickness gauge meter ideal for various applications, including glass replacement, field installation and servicing, production spot-checking, and building inspection. It provides accurate results and eliminates guesswork, making it a valuable tool for anyone who works with glass.

HS2050 HEAT-SHEET® Temperature Demonstration Card

The HEAT-SHEET® Temperature Demo Card vibrantly changes color when it encounters heat. To demonstrate the heat-blocking capabilities of your glass or film, use the HEAT-SHEET® Card in combination with a Heat Lamp. The visual demonstration greatly adds to the tangible performance data of many of our other sales tools. The demonstration shows a dynamic color change in front of an energy-inefficient window sample, while no color change occurs when placed in front of your energy-efficient window. The demonstration shows the customer that your window or film will reduce heat transfer that results from radiant energy, conduction, and convection.

MG1500 MIG Thickness Gauge

The "MIG" Laser Glass Thickness Gauge is a durable tool for measuring glass and air space thickness in sealed insulating glass units. Laser reflections off the glass surfaces appear on the gauge's graduated scale. These reflections allow you to easily determine the thickness of the glass and the air space separating the pieces of glass in a sealed IG assembly. The measurements are taken from a single side of the IG unit, and no additional tools are necessary.

MG1503 “MIG” Replacement Scales

Replace your old or damaged MIG Thickness Gauge scales. This replacement scale set works with the new MG1500 (yellow label) and the previous model (red label).

 Set Includes:

  • Glass & Air Thickness (inch and mm)
  • Overall IG Thickness (inch)
  • Overall IG Thickness (mm)
  • Laminated Glass & Air (inch and mm)
Do not risk making a mistake in measuring window thickness with an old or damaged MIG Thickness Gauge scale. Order yours today and be assured of an accurate measuring scale on your meter.

RC3175 R-CHEK+ Surface Resistivity Meter

Remove all doubt and ensure your product is coated correctly... without breaking the bank! EDTM is proud to offer budget-friendly Four Point Sheet Resistance Meters calibrated to standards that are traceable to a NIST traceable source. The resistance of a thin film/coating is directly proportional to the resistivity and is a critical QUALITY CONTROL component of a coating. Therefore, resistivity may be the most important factor in determining the repeatability and function of a coating. Sheet resistance has the unit of ohms, but it is convenient to refer to it in ohms per square since the sheet resistance produces the resistance of the coating within any square area. Therefore, this parameter is measured using the 4-point technique.

SD2400 Spectrum Detective

Salespeople can open up their product literature and give statistics about their window. Still, the Spectrum Detective will help you stand apart from other salespeople and shed a positive light on your window product.  The SD2400 allows you to demonstrate your window's energy performance in front of your customer's eyes with a live demonstration.

SG2700 Strengthened Glass Detector

Confirm if your single or double-pane glass has been strengthened.   Strengthened glass can include Heat Strengthened Glass, Tempered Glass, and Safety Glass. It is also sometimes referred to as "Toughened Glass."  Test single or multiple panes - on double-pane glass, you can test both panes at the same time. This is especially helpful with installed windows when one side of the glass is difficult or impossible to get to. It is also much more efficient in the factory - testing on either side offers substantial time savings and is more straightforward than being required to test both sides. Identify the thickness of the first pane of glass.

SP1065 BTU/Watt Solar Power Meter

The SP1065 can now switch between two units of measure: BTU/hr*ft^2 and Watts/M². Switching between modes is easily accomplished by using the buttons on the new embossed style power switch that also provides a smooth front surface and a sleeker appearance. Whichever unit of measure is chosen by the user becomes the default mode for the meter. The change in power switch style is accompanied by an auto-power off circuit that will turn the meter off after a period of inactivity. This will help extend the life of the batteries in this portable device.
